Tesco plans mobile retail move following pilot test
Tesco is drawing up plans to become the first supermarket to launch grocery retailing

Tesco is drawing up plans to become the first supermarket to launch grocery retailing on mobile, following two test campaigns. They undertook two separate trials recently that allowed consumers to order flowers directly from their mobile phone.

These are understood to have been in preparation for an m-commerce launch. The promotions were focused around Valentine's Day and Mother's Day. They are both understood to have driven significant traffic. Sourced from

Mobile Retailing Conference  from Retail Events, Wednesday 11th June 2008, Cavendish Conference Centre, London.
