There has been a deluge of price cutting activity over recent weeks with food retailers making great efforts to help consumers stretch their budgets that little bit further in these increasingly tough times.
Netto has also launched a pricing initiative to help shoppers, but there is a big difference in their reductions and those of others. There is a serious reduction in the prices on one in every 15 products in their entire range that equates to around £6 million in annualised savings. This is not small-fry for Netto, it's a big deal, because it represents around 1 % of their UK turnover. More on this story
