Awards Launched For East Midlands Food Firms
Categories right across the food supply chain

The search has begun for the most innovative companies working in the food and drink sector in the East Midlands. The first Food and Drink iNet Innovation Awards have been launched to recognise and reward the most inspiring businesses across the region.

There are categories right across the food supply chain, from producer and manufacturer to caterer and retailer. There are also award opportunities for companies and organisations whose work is connected to the food and drink sector, such as academics, engineers and waste management experts
.

The Food and Drink iNet co-ordinates support for businesses, individuals and academic institutions working in the food and drink industry in the East Midlands, and was launched earlier this year.

It is funded by East Midlands Development Agency (emda) and is managed by a consortium including The Food & Drink Forum, the Food Processing Faraday Partnership, Nottingham Trent University, the University of Lincoln and the University of Nottingham.
