Bushmen living in the South African Desert were already using the plant for years, but they didn’t use Hoodia to lose weight they had to take it so they wouldn’t get hungry during long trips in the desert mountain.   The only reason why Hoodia is such an amazing weight loss plant is because of something called P57 found in the Hoodia Cactus plant.
