Emmi is one of Europe's leading providers of premium dairy products, and the brand behind the best selling range of CAFFE LATTE iced coffee drinks have upgraded their packaging to incorporate a range of practical additions.
As of Monday 2nd February 2009, Emmi CAFFE LATTE drinks will feature:
- integrated sipping holes in the lid for maximum convenience, reduced spillage and protection from foreign objects, making drinking on the go much easier for the consumer
- a new ingeniously designed lid which doubles up as a coaster to avoid unsightly coffee ring or condensation marks on desks and surfaces
- stackable lids to optimise the productivity of shelf space
Emmi CAFFE LATTE is made from only the highest quality natural ingredients, the coffee beans are carefully roasted then immediately ground before being added to fresh, creamy milk from specially selected dairy herds.
This delicious range of iced coffee is available the chiller cabinet at leading supermarkets and convenience stores for just £1.09 in the following flavours:
-
Cappuccino: made with Valenza coffee beans (said to be the biggest in the world) from Nicaragua and a trace of chocolate
-
Macchiato: made with La Felicidad coffee beans from Guatemala, this is a more full bodied flavour
-
Light: ideal for calorie counters, this version contains half the calories of the other drinks and is made from Santos da Lagoa coffee.
Emmi MD Julie Plant commented; “Sipping holes are one of the greatest innovations in packaging technology and we are pleased to have the opportunity to introduce them to the CAFFE LATTE range. We can now offer busy consumers a refreshing and delicious iced coffee drink in a more practical cup with a lower risk of spillage.
We think that Iced Coffee is poised to be the next big thing to really surge in the UK market. In Switzerland, we achieved sales of 26M cups in 2007 for CAFFE LATTE among a population of 7.5M. If this level of consumption was replicated in the UK, we would be facing a potential market of 240M cups, or £261M, so the indications are very positive for this sector.”
