MCA membership reaches record high!
The MCA has grown its membership base by 46 percent since January 2004 and has now reached 60 member firms for the first time in its history. The 60th member firm is people and organisation consulting company, Water for Fish. This is the first time the association has represented so many firms in its near 50 year history.

Report on the UK Consulting Industry 2004/5 – out now!
The MCA Industry Report shows that, in stark contrast to its poor performance since the millennium, IT consulting increased on a like-for-like basis by 13 per cent in 2004 and systems development increased by a staggering 43 per cent. IT consulting and systems development now account for around a quarter of MCA member firms’ fee income (£1.7billion). Young MCA event hailed a success
“Hats off to the Management Consultancies Association for organising a Young MCA networking group.” Tony Restell, Top-Consultant. (Click here to see write up in Top-Consultant)
Around 90 young consultants (those that feel young!) from MCA member firms gathered at the BT Tower on Thursday 5 May for a hugely successful launch event of the ‘Young MCA’. In the last two weeks, The Financial Times has run two consulting industry features in the Business Life section (on 28 April and 5 May 2005). The three pages of coverage included 15 mentions for the MCA (including 3 quotes), and a mention for 12 member firms. The coverage included a league table of the top 15 consulting firms in the UK based on UK consulting fee income (11 of the top 15 are MCA members).
