MCA hosts recruitment event at the London Stock Exchange in May
The MCA, in association with The Sunday Times, is hosting a recruitment networking evening on Monday 22 May.  We have had over 500 responses to the adverts so far and after screening, there are currently over 150 suitable candidates attending the event. There is a special consultancy careers supplement in the Sunday Times on Sunday 30 April which will be promoting the event further and we hope to have at least 200 suitable candidates in attendance on the day. Firms can take sponsorship slots or apply for an individual place (£300 per firm for one delegate).  To register for a place to promote your firm as an employer of choice, or for further information on sponsorship packages, please email Joanne.Blackburn@newsint.co.uk or telephone 020 7680 6832.

Also during April, the MCA has responded on two occasions to David Craig’s new book, "Plundering the public sector". Fiona Czerniawska represented the MCA and the industry, firstly for the recorded interview with Channel 4 News on 7 April, and secondly for a live interview with Jeff Randall on BBC Radio 5 Live on 23 April.

MCA Management Writing Awards 2006
In association with Management Today

Following the success of the 2005 Management Writing Awards, the MCA and Management Today are again joining forces to recognise and reward excellence in management writing.

Last year's winners included Financial Times journalist Sathnam Sanghera for his article, entitled ‘The organic milk of human kindness overflows at Pret’ (FT). He beat off stiff competition from a number of national journalists, including Stefan Stern, who was highly commended for his article ‘Clever tactics for brilliant young things’ (FT).
